As a practice we have recently completed a learning exercise around the subject of Autism.
We have decided to pledge to make Eden Court more accesible for our patients with Autism.
To achieve this we will be writing to each patient with autism or their carers, offering the chance to let the surgery know how best we can help you. This may involve consulting with the same familar doctor each visit, having appointments at quieter times, and making booking appointments easier. We also hope to offer more written information where that is appropriate. Your choices will be recorded into your patient record so your healthcarers are more aware.
Do let us know any feedback about this and watch this space for more details.
Eden Court Medical Practice has been awarded a “Green Impact for Health” award. The award is run by the National Union of Students (NUS) in conjunction with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare to encourage GP practices across England to show how they are working in an environmentally aware and sustainable way. This has been shown to benefit patients as well as the environment.

We all know that unexpected things can crop up occasionaly to make us late for appointments, but unfortunately patients arriving late for surgeries have raised a few issues recently and so we have introduced a new policy to help manage late arrivals. The policy can be found in more detail here, but essentially if someone arrives more then TEN muinutes after their appointment time then this may result in them being asked to re- book at a different appointment.
Do you need information in a different format? Do you need support?
Please inform our receptionist if you wish to receive correspondence in any of the above ways.
Under new regulations, all GP surgeries are required to post an average earnings report. Our report is now available..
